About Me
Born in Mithapur town, near DWARKA, I was nurtured in the Tata Township, with a rich cultural and ethnic background.. Studied in the English Medium School since Kindergarten, I had the honour of being ranked in the TOP TEN in the Gujarat SSC Board exam held in 1970. I also received the prestigious CINCINNATI AWARD for being the best outgoing ALL ROUND STUDENT in Class 11, which was the last year in school.
Stepped out to AHMEDABAD for college studies. Two years in St. Xaviers College and then the next ten years in B. J. MEDICAL COLLEGE at Ahmedabad, passing out as M. D. PEDIATRICS. Always a scholarly performance in studies, alongside Sports activities. Studied Classical music during my college career. Made a name as a STAGE SINGER.
Started my professional practice in Rajkot city in 1982, at my private outfit called CHIRANJEEV CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL. Completing 40 years of clinical practice in this year-end.
I have an Institutional persona, and I have been the LEADER in many academic and social organisations. Right now, I am the Chairman of Family Benefit Society of IAP, which has 2500 members. It is a welfare activity under the aegis of IAP.
I am a creative AUTHOR and I have scripted more than 150 blogs on various themes.

My brief Introduction :
Senior Pediatrician. 40 years of private practice. Central IAP EB MEMBER in 2001, 2012, 2019 and 2020. Total Four terms . IAP GUJARAT STATE PRESIDENT in 1996 . 20 years of in-depth engagement with all Central IAP facets and issues. Awarded the status of FELLOW IAP in the year 2006 CHAIRMAN , Family Benefit Society of IAP Almost 33 years of my career immersed in Institutional Activities, embedded with honesty, future vision and full energy.
Wishing to intimate to you, that I am contesting for the coveted post of IAP PRESIDENT ELECT 2022 in the coming Central IAP Elections due in October 2021 ……. I seek your full support and guidance for the same. Thanks in advance.

MY VISION & MISSION STATEMENT FOR IAP
CARVE OUT A GLOBAL IMAGE OF OUR SOCIETY – namely , INDIAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS.
EXPLORE WAYS and MEANS of improving / upgrading the PRATICES, KNOWLEDGE BASE and the overall PROSPERITY of its constituent Members, already in excess of 30000 qualified Child Health Professionals. Create systems to address and alleviate the NEEDS and CONCERNS of every grassroot member of the Society.
CREATE VIRTUAL PLATFORMS for “ hands-on training “ of the new CLINICAL SKILLS necessary for the emerging trends and the ever-expanding expectations of the target clientele – the child up-to age of 18 years, their parents and the extended family.
CREATE A VIRTUAL LIBRARY OF ARTICLES, MANUSCRIPTS and POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS of those desirous members who want to share their expertise, freely with their colleagues, across the nation and beyond. Promote and encourage the Literary Skills of the Pediatrician Members, by organising Contests, on a vast variety of themes.
UPGRADE the OFFICE ADMINSTRATION , the Society CONSTITUTION and the FINANCIAL PRACTICES of this 58 year old, highly esteemed Institution, so that proper SOPs and PROTOCOLS are in place for preventing any lapses or mismanagement of the Resources of the SOCIETY.
